This is the house that saving 55 % energy efficient than California’s Title 24 energy standards, designed in sustainability and high design. The house adopted green design element with using eco-friendly Western Red Cedar siding, a planted green roof garden and deck so it can produces Oxigen more, on-site rain and ground water reclamation, in-floor hydronic heating, and solar electric and solar thermal (hot water) systems. It completely this amazing design house to winning LEED-H Platinum certified and GreenPoint Rated.
Located in Oakland Hills on a double-sized 13,000 sq. ft, this glass house design will catch your eyes for first sight. That house has unique high ceiling that I usually saw in Japanese traditional home. What an amazing view, especially at the night when all the lights illuminate the house from different directions. All the advantages make Margarido become a symbol of the movement in high design, high sustainability, collaboration and community.
