A little history of the site; the house site actually was a garden which was built in 1960 in a quiet old neighborhood which then become residential. The home is designed by RVL architects just on outskirts of Tours in France. A young family lives in it and the biggest challenge that the architect face is the tight budget given to them and yet the house needs to be environmentally friendly.

The house was finally done using 8 wooden panels which was pre assemble and transported that took a quicky 2 days on site assembling it. We truly love the open space found at this house which can be open and closed with a sliding door. Also from the windows you can view garden without being seen, thus making this house kind of introvert or maybe the owner is introvert.

The architecture principle applied to this house is very simple. We love to find the fact also that the sliding metal shutters act as solar and wind protection, where through the shutter, it creates some sort of pixels when you’re looking outside and making the interior more inviting.
